靳常青教授当选国际高压联合促进会执委

Prof. Changqing JIN elected as Member of the Executive Committee of International Association for the Advancement of High Pressure Science & Technology (AIRAPT)

　　2013年7月7日至12日在美国西雅图举办的第24届国际高压科学技术大会上，经大会讨论及投票，中科院物理研究所的靳常青教授当选新一届国际高压联合促进会(International Association for the Advancement of High Pressure Science & Technology) 执委(http://www.airapt.org/?q=node/295)。 国际高压科学技术大会为高压科学和技术界最盛大的系列学术会议，其第一次国际会议于1965年在法国的勒克勒索举办，之后每2年举办1回，涵盖高压科学技术的各个领域的最新进展 ( http://www.airapt.org/ )。

　　During the 24th Bienneial International Conference of International Association for the Advancement of High Pressure Science and Technology (AIRAPT) held from July 7 to 12, 2013 in Seattle, USA, Prof. Changqing JIN was elected as the Memeber of Executive Committee of AIRAPT ( http://www.airapt.org/ ) .

　　AIRAPT grew from the Gordon Research Conference on Research at High Pressures (GRCHP), the first one of which was held in 1955. Since the name Gordon Conference is protected legally, a new name was needed. The founders decided to establish a new international organization dedicated to high pressure research. Prof. Deffet of Belgium suggested the official name. The first AIRAPT Conference was held in Le Creusot, France, in 1965, after which it was held per two years.
